The Orange Coast College women's volleyball team notched their 32nd straight win on Friday night with a four-game win over visiting San Diego City, 30-9, 30-13, 16-30, 30-10, in nonconference action.

Women's volleyball tops Long Beach City in four
 
COSTA MESA -- The Orange Coast College women's volleyball team is using the early portion of the season to evaluate, advise and tutor the younger, less experienced players as they inch closer to Orange Empire Conference play.
While the youngsters learn their lessons, sophomore Kiwi Winkler just keeps rolling along, extending the Pirates' winning streak to 29 matches in a row with a four-game win over visiting Long Beach City on Wednesday night.

COSTA MESA - When a community college volleyball team wins a state title, goes undefeated and wins 73 straight games in the process, there's going to be a lot of demand by four-year schools for the sophomores on that squad.
Such was the case for the state champion Orange Coast College Pirates, whose four sophomores -- Samantha Connor, Brittney Ray, Christina Witt and Caitlin Parker -- have all committed to four-year universities next year.
